Project Client: Midwest Vanadium Pty Ltd
Project Site: Windimurra
Project Location: 600 kilometres North of Perth and 80 kilometres East of Mt Magnet.
Scope of work: Minepower has been commissioned to carry out civil works packages in the lead up to the commencement of mining at Windimurra.
Works to be undertaken by Minepower are as follows:
- Development of open pit cutback mining, including drill and blast services.
- Construction of ROM pad.
- Construction of 3 tailing dam facilities.
- Development of waste dump footprints and roads.
- Stockpiling of cleared topsoil and native vegetation for rehabilitation purposes.
Minepower will work closely with project management services group Projects In Control Pty Ltd (PinC) with the intention of being selected to commence mining operations once the capital works have been completed and Windimurra begins operations.

Midwest Vanadium Pty Ltd (“Windimurra”), a 100% subsidiary of Atlantic Ltd, is a world scale vanadium and iron ore project that is expected to be in production in the third quarter of 2011. More information about Windimurra can be found at: www.mvpl.com.au.
Project Client: BHP Billiton Nickel West
Project Site: Nickel West, Mount Keith, Western Australia.
Project Location: 460 kilometres North of Kalgoorlie in Western Australia

About the project:
Nickel West is the world's third largest producer of nickel in concentrate. Nickel West exports around 100,000 tonnes of nickel each year and provides significant benefits to the Western Australian economy and communities in which it operates.
